Cascade’s new head of commercial operations
Georgia Boddy has been named the new head of business operations for Cascade Cash Management. The newly created role will ensure that the administration and internal management team has one person focusing on the business internally, while focusing on customer service and service delivery.
Georgia, 24, from South Shields, has worked for Cascade for three years and is thrilled to have been promoted. Moving away from her former customer service role, Georgia will now lead the administrative team, support the client team and keep the office running smoothly. She will also support the Managing Director, Dr Emma Black, and the Marketing team with campaigns, events, assets and ideas.
Named for the second year in a row as 2021 Most Innovative FinTech Company, Cascade is the leading, award-winning professional cash management company offering an independent and transparent savings service designed to generate enhanced cash returns and increased depositor protection. .
The Cascade team helps clients complete the onboarding documents for each selected bank and building society for savers over £ 100,000. Savers can then use the online portal to view their savings in one convenient location, with dedicated assistance from Cascade staff. Customers include individuals, businesses and charities. Service partners include IFAs, notaries, lawyers and accountants, many of whom self-brand the product to present it to their own clients.
Having worked from home for the past 18 months, Georgia says the promotion comes at the perfect time as the team returns to face-to-face operations at the office. She said:
“I feel really positive about this new role and I am convinced that I have a lot to give. The position comes at a time when it is exciting to all return to the office as a team, and this internal team support is now much needed.
“This is a great opportunity for me to become a professional supporting a finance team and I relish the training that comes with the role, which could take me to level 6 in investment operations with the CISI. “
Prior to Cascade, Georgia had no experience in the financial world, having obtained a qualification in customer service. Dr Emma Black, however, spotted her potential and welcomed her to the team. She said:
“As soon as I met Georgia, I knew she had a special future ahead of her and I am absolutely delighted that she continues to dedicate her time to us here at Cascade. Georgia is a natural leader and it shone during the pandemic, with Georgia leading the way in wellness initiatives to keep us together as a team while we were physically apart.
Georgia’s well-deserved promotion to Chief Commercial Officer is a reflection of both her quality and her potential, complementing our goal of providing exceptional customer service. She got off to a great start and we are already reaping the benefits of her new role. ”
After recently announcing a significant expansion of its service, opening up the company’s proprietary portal and savings data to millions of UK savers, the team is restructuring with the aim of creating an approach and more lasting attitude. Previously, the service was available to high net worth individuals with over £ 250,000, but the company is now open to balances over £ 100,000, with new services launched for those under £ 100,000 as well.
Along with the new positioning in the market, the opportunities to work on exciting concepts for clients and potential clients are becoming a priority for the company, especially with the aim of doing well, of doing good.
Establishing itself as a business with a purpose, the Cascade team will work hard to empower people to “do something good” with money, including raising money for local charities and causes.
A new series of events is also on the horizon for subscribed members and visitors, including the Quick Networking and Full Flow speaker events. A one-day Deep Dive conference is also scheduled for 2022, details will be released soon.
Georgia, whose partner is in the Royal Marines and owns a boxer dog that she walks regularly, concluded:
“I’m going to take this opportunity to be a bigger part of the organization with both hands. The more knowledge I can acquire, the more I can support the team and the more I can make a difference. A big goal for me will also include the well-being of our team, which is so important in the current climate. Cascade cares about their team, so we’ll be looking for many ways to keep them feeling valued and enjoying their roles.
“The new events are a really proactive way for us to help more people, and the new upcoming campaigns are not only a solid opportunity for new clients, but are a new dynamic for what we can achieve as a team to do charity or community support. It is such an exciting time and I have so much enthusiasm to be a part of this ever growing team for a long time to come!
